blog post of news
there is no news actually. here's the scoop. i'm either not going to make an album or EP.
or all of a sudden i will. to explain further.. if a label other then myself asks me to make an album or whatever. i will do it. i'm looking a you. you know who you are. if not. then i will continue to focus my efforts on music related, and music related artists. and our podcast. but i don't have an album, or any tracks to shop.
we're just chillin'.. i'm doing lots of mastering these days. just playing instruments. with no worries. "happy together" sorta bombed sales wise. so, i'm in no rush.
have a good summer. keep an eye on the ML podcast "mr. no music" for awesome mixes from lots of great people.. including more pandatone mixes.

at amazon
my album "happy together" is now available from amazon's download store.
it's a very good deal imo.. 256kbps, DRM free mp3s.. the whole thing is only 7.92$ USD. (the CD is only 9.99 at most places though, btw.. with. you know. full artwork, and not compressed at all!)
other then the required "amazon mp3 downloader". i actually quiet like their store. have gotten a couple things from it already that was not available any place else.

remix of atone. free download
i did a remix of one of the songs from atone's album "un an", and it has now been released as a free download at autres directions. a bunch of other neat people also did remixes. heres the info from the website:
Atone opened his bag of tricks and invited some guests to rework tracks from ’Un An’ as they pleased. On this occasion, he called on artists such as the English band The Remote Viewer (City-Centre-Offices), who hypnotize the audience with their new version of the track ’Seul’, or the English artists The Boats (Moteer) who give ’Au Revoir’ a renewed touch of melancholy. The Japanese band Lullatone (AudioDregs) also takes part in this work and transcends ’Resonance’ into a children’s nursery rhyme, where the voice of Yoshimi Tomida is resplendent. Pandatone (Neo Ouija) shatters Introduction though a disquieting prism, whereas Tony (listen to his ’Itinérances’ EP, released on ADIM) decorates ’Rupture’ with a hundred bells. Praveen (Neo Ouija, Expanding) dilutes ’Accordeon’ into a harmonic version with emphasized nostalgia, before the Angers-based Tanuki, helped by a few friends, delivers an acoustic and partially sung second reading of ’Resonance’.

SXSW 2007
ML is not cool enough to have a sxsw showcase. or something.
but! doesn't mean there's not music related, related things to check out.
first of coarse. Luminous Orange is making their way to austin to rock you.
they are playing on friday, march 16th, at the Ale House. 9pm.
check out this here interview too.
also, friends of the ML faimly.. Kiiiiiii will be making their US live debut@ SXSW, then kicking of on a small tour.
both of these groups bring pretty much unmatched energy to the stage. i think it would worth checking out if you are close by, and like.. loud music (luminous orange).. or crazy ass shit.. (kiiiiiii)

please leave your comments on my blog if you so wish. i would love to hear from people still. i just can not support myspace.
though in a horribly ironic twist. the music related myspace page will still stay someone active. acepting and delcilining friends as normal. and some music as needed.. but no blog or anything much. visit the music related page for music related info.
you should get off myspace too well your thinking about it.

heáll?
hey! its another heatwave in nyc! great. last time my neighborhood lost power. some people for over a week. for how much i love NYC. sometimes this place is just super ghetto. i am attempting to record a new album. but to record. i need to turn off my A/C unit. then with all my gear on. the G5 grinding away. it gets hot fast, and really takes the fun out of it.
if anyone came out to see the pandatone live thinger at BAPlab. thanks! and i apologize that we couldn't do our cool live thing we had worked on. the sound was so out of control. all we could get was feedback. so i ended up just doing a set on my laptop. not as fun. no. hopefully we'll try again. but it's on to recording for me. hopefully will have a new LP out around the end of the summer on music related.

tokyo-pan report #1
about a week in to my japan stay. well, tokyo stay. and one show down.
rain has been the order of the day. and walking the streets.
played at bul-lets @ an event called "camouflage" near roppongi with my man "aus" (new LP soon on my inprint music related), and miyauchi yuri , who i can't reccomend enough, his debut is on rallye records. very good. geiska & pakchee also layed down some killer sets.
as you may or may not know, tokyo trains stop at midnight. so you either party early, or party late. so we partied late. this venue "bul-lets" was like being in someones house! people had brough sleeping bags, and were just chillin' on the floor, or sleeping even! this is how ambient music is done if you ask me. friendly relax enviroment. could tokyo be a secert mecca for great ambient electronic music? i'm begining to think so.
